Esperienze di un traduttore dell’'Entrée d’Espagne'

Abstract

La traduzione dell’'Entrée d’Espagne', il più importante poema della letteratura franco-italiana, obbliga a riflettere sia sull’ottimo lavoro di edizione portato a termine da Antoine Thomas all’inizio del XX secolo, sia, talvolta, sul testimone unico che ci ha trasmesso il poema. Questo breve articolo dà solo qualche piccolo esempio di questo lavoro.

Translating the 'Entrée d’Espagne', the most important poem of Franco-Italian literature, compels us to reflect both on the excellent editing work that Antoine Thomas carried out at the beginning of the twentieth century and on the single manuscript that transmitted the poem to us. This short article gives a few small examples of the translation project’s results.
